My husband and I are going to England in May and I wanted a small notebook to take with to keep notes and thoughts of our trip. I found this small notebook that will be perfect, its small and has pockets on the inside. I love the cover but wanted something that had a travel theme. I found some paper with suitcases and I used my Wall Decor cartridge to cut the compass for the front. I added some doodling because the orange paper needed a little something extra.

Thank you card with Cricut E2
Hi everyone! Its been a long time since my last post, almost a year I think.
I finally got back in my craftroom and did some organizing and decided to open my new Cricut E2 that I got at Thanksgiving. I know, I should have opened it and tested it out months ago but I was intimidated by the thought of trying it out. Ive heard so many negatives about it and wasnt sure if I was up to messing with it. (But I did buy the darn thing so I need to turn it on!) My crafting buddies Brenda and Vickie told me it was a learning curve and boy is it. I got it all set up, turned it on, and my fears were layed to rest. Yes, there is a bit of reading and figuring out but it went smoothly. There are some things I would definitely like to change about my E2 that would make it more user friendly but I just need to stick with it.
I made a simple card using the images that are preloaded in the machine. I also used vellum flowers that my friend Vickie gave me.

Card Keeper
Its been awhile since my last post, almost 2 months. Life has been getting in the way or I'm just lazy, I can't decide which. Probably the latter, oh well. I have been crafting off and on so I do have a project to post. I have been busy making cards for my sisters and a folder to keep them in. The cards are just a variety for them to have on hand and the folder I made from some 12 x 24 paper.

Florals Embellished cards
I have been working on some card sets and was finishing up using my Florals Embellished cricut cart when I noticed the silouette feature. The cuts are very pretty so I cut 2 different images as an experiement to see what they looked like and decided to use them. I made 2 cards, each a little different. Sometimes (most times) I tend to cut the main images from a cricut cart and forget to look at the other features and the images there.

Blog Award
I want to thank my crafty friend Brenda for giving me a Blog Award! The Green Blend Award is given to a co-blogging friend who encourages you, comments, and cheers you on. In the crafting world that is very important. I am so thankful to have Brenda as my crafting buddy and co-blogger. She and the rest of the ladies from the Cricut Friends Crafting Challenge have encouraged me from the very start. My humble little blog wouldn't be what it is without them. Thank you Brenda for thinking of me.

Crafty Storage Idea
I haven't posted in awhile, things have been busy around here. I thought I would post a pic of a storage idea I found on pinterest (I'm addicted). You can get this storage bin at Harbor Freight. I used a coupon so it was about $16 with tax. I loved how much space it freed up on my crafting table after I filled it up. And there is still room for more stuff in it. I just need to figure out how to decorate it, its not very pretty.
